Job Purpose
To support the Credit Risk function through development, maintenance, and enhancement of internal credit rating models, regulatory reporting, and risk management activities in alignment with the Bank’s risk policies/ framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible to maintain, develop, and enhance/ update internal credit rating models/ masters etc using statistical techniques and data analysis.
- Support validation and updation of internal rating models, tools, and systems.
- Undertake Internal/ external rating migration, benchmarking/ mapping of internal rating with external rating, PD assessment, PD forecasting using statistical techniques and prepare agendas for management/ risk committees
- Manage internal rating MIS and perform regulatory reporting (e.g., RBS, DSB returns, etc).
- Provide analytical support and coordinate with Credit, Business and Operations to ensure ratings are valid/ updated as per policy norms and risk appetite.
- Resolve the rating model related queries, imparting trainings/ handholding the users of rating solution/ models
- Identify and implement appropriate risk tools, key metrics, and triggers.
- Assist senior management in CRMC/RMC/ BOD activities, including preparation of information packs and responding to committee queries.
- Coordinate data collection and documentation for committee agendas.
- Follow up on actionable items from committees and ensure timely closure.
- Ensure compliance with credit risk policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Skills & Competencies
- 4-5 years of experience in Credit Risk Rating/ Models within Banks or reputed NBFCs.
- Strong knowledge of statistical modelling techniques (e.g., Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Factor Analysis, Decision Trees).
- Hands-on experience in internal rating MIS and regulatory reporting.
- Understanding of credit underwriting, policies, and processes.
- Familiarity with risk management and measurement techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and manage projects in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: CA / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute; CFA or FRM preferred
- Total Experience: Minimum 6-8 years in Credit Risk domain within reputed Banks/NBFCs
