Skill Set


The Engineer FMS (Facilities Management Services ) is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, reliability, and safety of all technical services and infrastructure across the Guest House, Training Institute, and associated buildings. The role focuses on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire systems, STP/WTP, swimming pool systems, and other engineering services, ensuring uninterrupted operations and compliance with statutory and safety standards.                  

Additional Information                     

(1) Knowledge:   

  • Strong knowledge of M&E systems, HVAC, fire safety systems, and utilities
  •  Hands-on experience in large campus / hospitality / institutional facility management
  •  Ability to manage technical teams and multiple vendors
  •  Knowledge of statutory compliance and safety standards
  •  Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  •  Good coordination and communication abilities            

(2)Technical Skills:  

  •   Oversee operation and maintenance (O&M) of all technical systems including: 
  •   Electrical systems (HT/LT panels, DG sets, UPS, transformers, lighting)
  •  HVAC systems (chillers, VRF/split ACs, ventilation systems)
  •   Plumbing, water supply, drainage, pumping systems
  •   STP, WTP, rainwater harvesting, and water management systems
  •   Ensure uninterrupted utility services across guest rooms, training halls, kitchens, recreation facilities, and common areas.
  •   Implement and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and downtime."

Roles & Responsibilities

(a) Responsibilities:

1. Technical Operations & Maintenance

  •  Oversee operation and maintenance (O&M) of all technical systems including: 
  •  Electrical systems (HT/LT panels, DG sets, UPS, transformers, lighting)
  •   HVAC systems (chillers, VRF/split ACs, ventilation systems)
  •   Plumbing, water supply, drainage, pumping systems,o   STP, WTP, rainwater harvesting, and water management systems

2. Fire Safety & Life Safety Systems

  •   Ensure effective functioning and maintenance of fire detection, alarm, and fire-fighting systems including extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, fire pumps, and smoke detectors.
  •  Conduct regular inspections, testing, and certifications of fire safety equipment.
  •  Coordinate fire drills, emergency response preparedness, and corrective actions.

3. Recreational & Specialized Facilities

  •   Oversee technical maintenance of swimming pool systems including filtration, dosing, pumps, and water quality control.
  •  Coordinate specialized AMC vendors for sports and recreation equipment.

4. Energy, Utilities & Sustainability

  •   Monitor energy and water consumption; identify opportunities for energy efficiency and cost optimization.
  •   Ensure proper operation of DG sets during power outages and fuel management.

5. Vendor & AMC Management

  •    Manage and supervise technical vendors, contractors, and AMC service providers for electrical, HVAC, lifts, fire systems, STP/WTP, and pool systems.
  •   Ensure vendors adhere to SLAs, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
  •   Verify work quality, service reports, and billing before certification.

6. Safety, Health & Compliance

  •   Enforce electrical safety, mechanical safety, and permit-to-work systems across campus.
  •   Maintain logs, test certificates, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.

7. Project, Repair & Refurbishment Support

  •  Assist in execution of minor projects, renovations, retrofits, and system upgrades within campus facilities.
  •   Coordinate shutdowns, execution schedules, testing, and commissioning of new systems.
  •   Support budgeting and technical inputs for CAPEX and OPEX planning.

8. Documentation & Reporting

  •   Maintain daily operations logs, breakdown records, preventive maintenance checklists, and statutory registers.
  •   Support audits related to safety, fire compliance, and technical systems.
