Job Summary

The Executive Assistant to the General Counsel provides comprehensive administrative and executive support to the General Counsel and the Legal Department. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information, strong communication abilities, and the capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment.


Key Responsibilities

Executive Support

  • Manage and coordinate the General Counsel's calendar, meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Organize and prioritize incoming correspondence, emails, and requests.
  • Prepare agendas, presentations, reports, meeting minutes, and other business documents.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the General Counsel.

Legal Department Coordination

  • Assist in coordinating legal team meetings, reviews, and department activities.
  • Support document management, filing, and maintenance of legal records and contracts.
  • Track critical deadlines, legal notices, renewals, and compliance-related activities.
  • Liaise with external law firms, regulatory bodies, and business stakeholders as required.

Administrative Management

  • Manage expense reports, vendor invoices, purchase orders, and budget-related documentation.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel logistics and itineraries.
  • Maintain departmental records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support onboarding and administrative requirements for team members.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with senior leadership, business teams, and external partners.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the Legal Department and other business functions.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive matters with the highest degree of professionalism and discretion.

Project & Operational Support

  • Assist in special projects, corporate governance activities, board meetings, and committee meetings.
  • Monitor action items and ensure timely follow-up on commitments.
  • Support process improvement initiatives within the Legal Department.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior executives, preferably in a legal or corporate environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting General Counsel, Company Secretary, Legal Head, or C-suite executives.
  • Exposure to legal documentation, compliance processes, or corporate governance activities.
  • Experience working with document management and contract management systems.
