Role Purpose

To Lead and drive the bank’s CSR strategy, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, business values, and long-term social impact through effective program planning, stakeholder engagement and governance.


Overall Job Description


1.CSR Strategy & Policy Development

 Develop and implement the bank’s CSR strategy and roadmap aligned with national development priorities.

 Review and update the CSR Policy as per Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013.

 To ensure that the CSR policy is updated with changes impacted by MCA and any change in Strategy with approval from appropriate authority and the same is updated on all systems and on the Banks CSR webpage.

 To prepare Annual Action Plan for the approval of CSR Committee & Board and to be uploaded on Bank’s CSR webpage.


2.CSR Program Planning & Implementation

 Design and execute impact-driven CSR programs across India.

 Identify and partner with NGOs, government bodies, and implementation agencies.

 Ensure programs are scalable, sustainable, and community focused.


3.Governance & Regulatory Compliance

 Ensure full compliance with CSR provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.

 Present CSR proposals and updates to the CSR Committee of the Board.

 Maintain proper documentation, governance frameworks, and statutory reporting.


4. Budget & Fund Management

 Manage the bank’s annual CSR budget and fund allocation.

 Track fund utilization and ensure transparency and accountability.

 Monitor return on social investment and financial compliance.


5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact Assessment

 Establish systems to monitor CSR projects and measure social impact.

 Conduct periodic field visits, audits, and third-party impact assessments.

 Improve CSR initiatives based on data and community feedback.


6. Stakeholder Management

 Build strong partnerships with: NGOs, Government agencies, Social enterprises, Community leaders

 Collaborate internally with HR, Corporate Communications, Marketing, and Operations for effective CSR execution.


7. Reporting & Communication

 Prepare the Annual CSR Report for the bank’s Annual Report.

 Communicate CSR impact through Annual reports, media, and digital platforms.

 Promote employee volunteering programs and social responsibility culture within the organization.



Essential requirement: Master’s degree/MBA/MSW/Public policy/Sustainability or equivalent from premium institutes


Essential requirement: 22 to 25 years

Preferred: Large Corporates/ Banking / Financial Services, Microfinance / Development Finance/ Structured Finance / Government Banking
