Role Details:

To provide comprehensive legal support to the Bank’s business verticals by vetting, drafting, and advising on credit-related documentation and legal issues, ensuring legally secure and enforceable credit transactions while safeguarding the Bank’s interests.

Job Description

 Provide legal support to various business verticals of the Bank by vetting, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating credit facility agreements, security documents, and ancillary documentation to ensure safe and legally compliant credit transactions.

 Guide and support Branches and Business Departments on legal issues relating to the Bank’s credit function, including documentation structure, enforceability, and compliance.

 Review title search reports, legal opinions, and property-related documentation of immovable properties offered as security and opine on their legal acceptability.

 Liaise and coordinate with external legal counsels / empaneled advocates for specific legal issues, contracts, documentation, and advisory requirements, and review the quality and adequacy of work performed by them.

 Assist and contribute to projects, initiatives, and process improvements as may be undertaken by the Corporate Legal Department from time to time.

 Ensure that all credit documentation complies with applicable Indian laws, regulatory guidelines, and internal policies/procedures of the Bank.
