Legal Derivative Documentation

Role Details:

To provide specialized legal support to the Bank’s business verticals by vetting, drafting, negotiating, and advising on derivative and loan documentation, ensuring legally sound, enforceable, and compliant transactions while safeguarding the Bank’s interests.

Job Description

 Provide legal support on derivative transactions including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing agreements such as ISDA Schedule(s), IM/VM Credit Support Annex, CDEA, GMRA, forward contracts, and amendment agreements.

 Provide legal support to business verticals by vetting, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating financing agreements, security documents, and ancillary documentation relating to loans.

 Ensure all documentation complies with applicable Indian laws, regulatory guidelines, and internal Bank policies.

 Guide and support Branches and Business Departments on legal issues relating to derivative and loan documentation, including enforceability and risk mitigation.

 Liaise with external legal counsels / empanelled advocates for documentation, contracts, and advisory requirements, and review their deliverables.

 Assist and contribute to projects, initiatives, and process improvements undertaken by the Legal Department

Education - LLB / LLM / CS

Work Exp:

 2 – 8 Years  Legal experience in derivatives and loan documentation in a Bank / NBFC / Financial Institution / Law Firm handling banking & finance matters

Any specific requirements

 Experience in handling derivative documentation (ISDA, CSA, GMRA, etc.) is mandatory.

 Open to candidates from in-house legal teams and private sector banks with hands-on experience in derivatives, ISDA documentation, and related transactional work.

 Experience of working on India focused transactions is very important

 Prior experience in a similar role in banking or financial services sector preferred
