Job Title: Non-Resident Relationship Manager (NR RM)
Department: Retail Banking / Wealth Management
Role Purpose
The NR RM will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with Non-Resident Indian (NRI) clients by offering a comprehensive suite of banking, investment, and wealth management solutions. The role focuses on acquisition, portfolio growth, and delivering superior customer experience to NRI clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Acquire new NRI clients through referrals, digital channels, and branch network.
- Manage a portfolio of NRI customers (NRE/NRO accounts, FCNR deposits, etc.).
- Build long-term relationships by understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Act as a single point of contact for all banking requirements.
2. Business Development
- Drive CASA growth, term deposits, and cross-sell of banking products.
- Achieve revenue targets through investment and insurance product distribution.
- Promote remittance products and forex services.
- Identify opportunities for wealth management and portfolio enhancement.
3. Product & Service Delivery
- Offer solutions across:
- NRE/NRO Savings & Fixed Deposits
- Forex & Remittance Services
- Investment Products (Mutual Funds, Bonds, PMS)
- Insurance Products
- Ensure seamless onboarding and KYC compliance for NRI clients.
4. Compliance & Risk Management
- Adhere to regulatory guidelines applicable to NRI banking (RBI, FEMA).
- Ensure proper documentation and due diligence.
- Monitor transactions to prevent fraud and ensure compliance.
5. Customer Experience & Engagement
- Provide high-quality service through regular engagement (calls, virtual meetings, visits during India trips).
- Resolve client queries and escalations promptly.
- Organize NRI engagement events/webinars.
6. Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams (Forex, Wealth, Operations, Compliance).
- Coordinate with overseas correspondents/partners where required.
Education
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA/PGDM in Finance preferred)
Experience
- 6–10 years in Retail Banking / Wealth Management / NRI Banking
- Prior experience in handling NRI clients preferred
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of NRI banking products (NRE/NRO/FCNR accounts)
- Knowledge of FEMA and RBI regulations
- Relationship management & client servicing skills
- Sales orientation and target-driven mindset
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
