About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and people-oriented Regional HR professional to manage the complete HR function for the assigned region. The role will be responsible for partnering with business leaders and branch teams to drive people initiatives across the organization's vehicle finance and tractor finance businesses.

The incumbent will act as the key HR point of contact for employees and business leaders across the region and will be responsible for ensuring effective execution of HR policies, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and HR operations.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business HR / HR Business Partnering

  • Partner with the Regional Business Head and Branch Managers on all people-related matters.
  • Understand business requirements and provide HR solutions aligned with regional business objectives.
  • Act as the primary HR point of contact for employees across the assigned branches.
  • Drive HR policies, processes, and initiatives across the region.
  • Provide regular people insights to the business and HR leadership.

2. Recruitment & Manpower Planning

  • Manage recruitment for branch and regional positions including Sales, Credit, Collections, Operations and Branch Management roles.
  • Work closely with business teams to understand manpower requirements and ensure timely closure of vacancies.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for frontline and managerial positions.
  • Partner with local recruitment agencies, consultants and institutes wherever required.
  • Drive employee referral initiatives and other local sourcing channels.
  • Ensure effective onboarding and induction of new employees.

3. Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives across the region.
  • Conduct regular branch/employee connects to understand employee concerns and improve engagement.
  • Identify retention risks and work with business managers on appropriate interventions.
  • Facilitate communication of organizational initiatives, policies and HR programs.
  • Support recognition and reward initiatives across the region.

4. Performance Management

  • Drive the annual performance management process for employees in the region.
  • Ensure timely completion of goal setting, mid-year reviews and annual appraisals.
  • Partner with managers on performance-related matters and development plans.
  • Identify low performers and facilitate appropriate performance improvement interventions.

5. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling

  • Address employee grievances and workplace concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Handle disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies and applicable labour laws.
  • Support investigations and resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Maintain positive employee relations across branches and field teams.

6. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure effective implementation of HR policies and processes across the region.
  • Coordinate with the central HR/HR operations team on payroll, attendance, leave, employee documentation and other HR processes.
  • Ensure employee records and HR documentation are maintained accurately.
  • Support statutory and labour law compliance applicable to branches and field operations.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for audits and compliance requirements.

7. Training & Capability Development

  • Identify regional training and capability-building requirements in consultation with business leaders.
  • Coordinate training programs for Sales, Credit, Collections, Operations and Branch teams.
  • Support onboarding and functional training for new employees.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and identify further development needs.

8. HR MIS & Analytics

  • Prepare and share periodic HR MIS for the region covering:
  • Manpower strength and vacancies
  • Attrition and retention
  • Recruitment status
  • New joiners and exits
  • Employee movements
  • Performance-related metrics
  • Engagement and other HR initiatives
  • Analyse regional people trends and provide actionable insights to HR and business leadership.
