Senior ESG Risk Analyst

Hiring for: A leading private sector bank in India, offering a wide range of banking and financial services to corporate, retail, and institutional clients.

Role: Senior ESG Risk Analyst

Experience: 5 to 8 years

Location(s): Prabhadevi, Mumbai

Salary: Up to INR 30 LPA

Job Purpose

Undertake ESG Risk Assessment of Wholesale Banking Credit Proposals belonging to High-Risk industries (Power Generation, Mining, Petrochemicals etc)

Main Accountabilities

1.     Undertake ESG Risk Assessment of Mid and Large Corporates & provide ESG Risk Rating Recommendation for wholesale banking credit proposals; highlight ESG Risks that may translate to Credit Risks

2.     Undertake Industry ESG Risk Assessment of High-Risk Sectors – Thermal Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Mining, Iron & Steel, Fertilizers etc

3.     Design, develop, and maintain monthly and quarterly MIS reports for leadership and cross-functional teams

4.     Collaborate closely with business units, risk, finance & IT department to streamline ESMS workflow, understand reporting requirements and troubleshoot data flow issues

5.     Provide guidance to junior members of the team

Qualifications & Experience

·      Minimum Degree: Masters/MBA in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Finance. B Tech/BE degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, Civil, Environmental engineering is preferable but not mandatory

·      Minimum Years of experience: 5 years of relevant work experience with ESG Risk Rating Providers (CRISIL, ICRA, Care etc), Consultants (EY, PwC etc) or Banks/NBFCs
