Job Description for Role: Unit / Site Inspection Officer – Risk Services

 

Role Objective:

 

To conduct unit / site / factory inspections of borrower units as per formats approved by Credit Risk, with the objective of supporting credit appraisal and monitoring. The role helps assess the operational health of borrowers, identify early warning signals (EWS), and strengthen the lender–borrower relationship through on-ground understanding of business operations and promoter intent.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Unit / Site / Factory Inspections

· Conduct site, unit, factory, and warehouse inspections strictly as per the inspection format approved by Credit Risk.

· Verify existence, scale, and status of business operations during inspections.

· Validate key operational parameters such as:

o Raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods

o Storage conditions and stock movement

o Production capacity utilization (where applicable)

o Infrastructure and business continuity indicators

2. Inspection Reporting & Credit Support

· Prepare structured inspection reports with factual observations, photographs, and key risk indicators.

· Share inspection reports with the counter teams for review.

· Highlight deviations, adverse observations, and potential early warning signals relevant to credit risk.

3. Credit Risk Assessment & Monitoring

· Support CMU and Credit teams in evolving risk mitigation strategies for specific borrowers.
